Privacy Policy
RaveKrew helps private groups coordinate festival trips. This policy explains what information we process, why we process it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account and profile information: your email address, sign-in provider identifier, display name, and optional profile image.
- Krew content: memberships, invitations, chat messages, plans, schedules, checklists, meal plans, attachments, meeting points, expense records, payment-app usernames, and SOS acknowledgements you choose to provide.
- Location: approximate or precise location only after you choose to share it. SOS activation shares precise location with your krew for 30 minutes. Regular location shares and meeting points expire automatically and are limited to 12 hours.
- Device and notification information: push-notification tokens, platform type, notification preferences, and basic operational logs needed to keep the service reliable and secure.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you; provide krew planning, chat, location, expense, notification, and safety features; protect accounts; prevent abuse; troubleshoot problems; and improve service reliability. RaveKrew does not sell personal information and does not use your precise location for advertising.
Who can see your information
Content belonging to a krew is available only to authenticated members of that krew, subject to their role. Your location is off until you share it and is visible only to the relevant krew while the share remains active. Payment-app usernames are visible to members of your krews; RaveKrew does not receive passwords, card numbers, bank details, or hold funds.
Service providers and external services
We use service providers to operate RaveKrew, including Supabase for authentication, database, file storage, and server functions; Expo for app builds, updates, and notifications; Google and Apple for sign-in where selected; Apple Maps or Google Maps for mapping and directions; and Ticketmaster for public event information. When you open an external payment, map, ticket, or other service, that provider’s privacy policy applies.
Retention and deletion
We retain account and krew information while needed to provide the service. Temporary location data expires as described above. Members may delete certain content in the app, and organizers may remove or archive krews. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by emailing privacy@ravekrew.com. We may retain limited records where required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement.
Security
We use authentication, encrypted HTTPS connections, access controls, and database row-level security designed to limit data to the appropriate krew. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Children
RaveKrew is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information.
Your choices
You can turn location sharing off, change notification preferences, update your profile, leave eligible krews, and remove content supported by the app. You can also revoke operating-system permissions in your device settings.
